There are many drills to practice high elbows such as touching your armpit with your thumb, scratching the water and many more. But is high elbow right for you? The answer is yes and no. Yes for high elbow, and no for not as high as for competitive swimming. We mean raising your elbow slowly, as high as possible, to a point where you start feeling pressure in your shoulder.
